RACE DETAILS
The field of six got away on level terms and upon settling down Queen of the Bath drew clear to cut out the early work from Rebel Chief, Philammon and Norus. The race was run at a pedestrian pace, with no material change in the order until the field began to descend the hill, at which point Queen of the Bath and Rebel Chief beat a retreat. After the chains Redskin rushed up to take the lead and assumed command entering the straight. Although Philammon made up some ground, he never threatened Redskin who won cleverly by 5 lengths, with a length and a half between Philammon and Tyrconnell.
